Castle Connolly Top Doc 2023, Award Winner

Featured in San Diego Magazine's Best

After years of hard work and strenuous studying, I began practicing as a surgeon in 2008. My extensive medical knowledge combined with an ongoing curiosity to learn about the latest trends define my success in the medical field.

My General Surgery residency training was in Stony Brook University Hospital in Long Island, NY. I completed my training in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery in Boston at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard affiliated teaching hospital.

I did private practice in Manhattan at Lenox Hill and Mount Sinai hospital. I moved back to Boston to join the Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians group as an academic surgeon for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Beautiful weather has finally brought me back to California where I am originally from.

I have been recently awarded Top Doctor 2023 in General Surgery and Castle Connolly Top Doc 2023, as well as San Diego Magazine, and "Exceptional Woman in Medicine", 2023. I continue to be involved in academics through committees and leadership positions as an editor of Surgical Endoscopy and reviewer of Journal of Surgical Research. I am also the Chairman of the Robotics Division at Scripps Encinitas Hospital
